What is included in a “shift”?

A “shift” includes access to one fully vetted childcare professional (ECE, ECA, cook, etc.) for a minimum of 3 hours. You may book longer shifts as needed, but billing starts at 3 hours. This does not include our base hourly wage for staff.

You can cancel any shift up to 6 hours before the start time with no charge. Cancellations made within 6 hours will be billed for the 3-hour minimum.

All staff are pre-screened and verified for key certifications like CPR, First Aid, VSC (Vulnerable Sector Check), and more. You can view their profiles and ratings before assigning.

Free shifts are included in your monthly plan. They cover the service fee, so you only pay the staff’s base wage. Once you exceed your limit, a discounted flat fee applies per shift.

Yes! You can favorite staff members, and our system will prioritize them for future bookings when they’re available.

No contracts. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade your plan at any time. Pay-as-you-go is also available with no monthly fee.

You’ll receive a weekly invoice for all shifts booked. Payments can be made via credit card, e-transfer, or direct deposit. Subscriptions are billed monthly.

Free shifts included in your plan do not roll over to the next month. We recommend using them to get the most value from your subscription.

Yes. Your account supports multi-site management, allowing you to post and manage shifts across all your childcare locations.

Most shifts posted on our platform are filled within 15–30 minutes, thanks to real-time matching and a pool of on-call professionals.
